Below is the public schedule of His Holiness the Dalai Lama both in India as well as abroad. Please note that for many of these events, tickets are required in order to gain entrance. People are requested to contact the organizers directly or visit the websites given below for further information on tickets.
In general, most of the events in India are free where as the majority of events abroad require paid tickets. For your information, as a long-standing policy His Holiness the Dalai Lama does not accept any fees for his talks. Where tickets need to be purchased, organizers are requested by our office to charge the minimum entrance fee in order to cover their costs only. Please note that the dates below are subject to change.
December 14, 2017
His Holiness will inaugurate the Drepung Loseling Meditation and Science Center in the morning.
December 20, 2017
His Holiness will confer a Hayagriva Initiation (tamding yangsang kawang) at Sera Je Monastery.
December 21, 2017
His Holiness will inaugurate the new debating courtyard of Sera Mey Monastery followed by a teaching on Tsongkhapa's In Praise of Dependent Origination (tendrel toepa) in the morning.
January 5 - 7, 2018
His Holiness will give a three-day teaching on Dharmachakra Parivaretan Sutra on The Four Noble Truths (chokyi khorlo korwe do) & Sutra on Dependent Origination (tendrel chi do) in the mornings at the request of Indians. January 14 - 16, 2018
On January 14 and 15 mornings, His Holiness will give teachings on Nagarjuna’s Commentary on Bodhicitta (jangchup semdrel) & Gyalsey Thokme Sangpos’s Thirty-Seven Practices of a Bodhisattva (laklen sodunma). His Holiness will also confer the Avalokiteshvera Initiation (chenresig wangchen) on the mornings of January 15 and 16. Following the initiation on January 16 morning, a long life offering ceremony (tenshug) to His Holiness will be made at the joint request of Lamyn Gegeen Tenzinjamphelchoijisheinen Tulku of Mongolia and Namgyal Monastery.
